1948 Vintage Birds Eye Peas Recipe for Ham Pinwheels a la Springtime
Why I Want This: Who doesn’t want a ham pinwheel?

Why I Want This: Lose weight with sugar, eh? This I gotta see!
Bonus: I love her outfit!
Vintage Advertising Recipe Pamphlet KRAFT Mayonnaise
Why I Want This: Another flip-up pamphlet, this time everything is made with mayo! I bet the gelatin molds in this thing are fantastic. Plus, those tuna sandwiches look good!
Vintage Knudsen Recipes Cook Book – Booklet 1962 Knudsen Creamery Co.
Why I Want This: Let’s be honest, I can never resist these “party spread” cookbook covers. Plus, I want to see what is in the mold in the upper left. With a cucumber garnish, it has to be good!
Vintage 1960s PILLSBURY 48 Butter Crust PARFAIT PIES
Why I Want This: Hellooooo parfait pies! Yeah, I need this one.
Vintage COOKIE Cook Book Lot of 7 * Recipes * 1950s * 1960s
Why I Want This: I actually have a couple of these already. That Gift Box Butter Cookie pamphlet is a real gem! But for the price, this is a good deal, even if I get some extras!
1970s Vintage Promo Dairy Recipe Brochure – MICHAEL LANDON
Why I Want This: Look at those teeth! Oh Michael Landon, you DO drink your milk!
Lot of 2 Vintage Recipe Booklets – Heinz, Mueller's
Why I Want This: I have that Mueller’s book already and I LOVE it (Macaroni with Peanut Butter or Spaghetti with Eggs, anyone?) but how can I resist a Heinz book devoted to spaghetti? I am SURE it is just packed with recipes where ketchup and spaghetti come together in wonderful ways. The mind boggles.
VTG 1986 Childrens Party Handbook
Why I Want This: This one is a little later than what I usually go for (1986), but those really, really happy ice cream cone clowns really need to be made by me. And what the heck is that castle made from? Marshmallow? Ice cream? I love it.
Vintage 1952 DISHES MEN LIKE Lea & Perrins Sauce Advertising Cookbook Recipes
Why I Want This: See, I think this has been my mistake all along. No wonder Tom didn’t like what I was serving him! I didn’t know what was “sure to please”. But don’t worry, if my hunch is right this book will solve all my problems. Or Tom’s problems, if you want to look at it that way.
Vintage 1950s 10 CAKES HUSBANDS LIKE BEST
Why I Want This: Ditto what I said above, except with cake!
Hope you guys found the kitschy cookbook of your dreams! If not, you can head over to my other blog to check out the kitschy finds over there!

Hey, I have that Better Homes and Gardens “Cookies and Candy” book (from the lot). My mom has a copy that she won’t give up, so I bought my own at a used bookstore. The “Chocolate Chippers” on page 15 is a family favorite.
I wish the Losing Weight With Sugar ad had recipe scans! But based on their suggested menus, you’ll never eat like that and look as perky as the stock illustrations.
The sugar cookbook reminds me of some questionable sugar ads. Try Googling “vintage sugar weight loss ad” and looking at the image results for a few treats. (Yes, sugar can be the willpower you need to undereat! Impeccable logic….)
I love all of these! I have a Domino books already – it tells you which sugar is ‘socially appropriate’ for which guest/event. Because the wrong sugar is a major faux pas, even when it’s inside tea or cake.
Nice! I will be adding those to my “must make” list!
Pretty much!
Ha ha! Oh, how many sugar faux pas have I unknowingly committed in my lifetime? Now I won’t be able to sleep at night! 🙂
I love the “Dishes Men Like” – that’s just so typifies the era that it came from!
My Mom has that BH&G Cookies and Candies cook book on the top left!! I remember it well!
Lead off with that Cheese Club Sandwich and let us know if Tom’s problems are solved.
Yeah, I really just want to see his face while he’s eating American cheese.
Yeah…I doubt that would solve any problems!
And I am right there with you about the faces. I feed him American Cheese just so I can see what he does. That’s right, I’m a monster.
Ummm ain’t nuthin likes a good cooking. I swears this is what i longs to did.:) yummmy.
