1 cup maple syrup
½ cup butter
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp baking soda
2 ½ cups flour
½ tsp vanilla
½ tsp lemon extract

Combine ingredients in order given. Drop 1 tablespoon of dough onto a greased or lined cookie sheet and bake in a 375 degree oven for about 10 minutes.
Yield: About 3 dozen cookies
