This drink is from our stash of lucky number cards that used to be dispensed by tabletop machines at restaurants. They are the perfect little size to throw into a container, and then just reach in and pick one out at random.

I was fussing around with a camera a lot during this test. Finally, Tom leaned over and grabbed my hand.
“What’s wrong?”
“I can’t get the lighting right.”
He waved his other hand in the air dismissively. “Please, no one is going to care. They just want to see something that isn’t about COVID-19. Just take the picture.”
So I did.
“This is good. This is really good.”
“Oh good. If it would have sucked I might have lost it.”
“Nope, it’s great. Now, if you will excuse me, I’m going to sit on the couch and drink my drink.”
The Verdict: Really Good
From The Tasting Notes –
Thankfully, this one worked out. Maximizes the aromatics. The juniper/pine scent and flavor is still there, but it is really well balanced out with the fruit in the Dubonnet.
I want one!
I don’t have Dubonnet on hand. Do you think substituting sweet vermouth would work?
Could definitely go for a cocktail these days……

I decorated jelly thumbprint cookies with chocolate and pastel dot sprinkles to look like coronavirus this afternoon. I’m losing my damn mind.
