Your ingredient list is incorrect. It calls for 2/3 cup of cornstarch. It should call for 1/3 cup of cornstarch. I made this yesterday, and it came out little rubbery. I kept wondering why, until I came across a clearer photograph of the actual Hershey’s magazine ad that included the recipe.
Thank you for testing it out and finding the flaw! Was it good otherwise? (I have updated the recipe. 🙂 )
It tasted pretty good; not quite as good as I remember from when I’ve made it in the past. With twice as much cornstarch, it was a little “powdery” tasting!
The biggest difference was the rubbery texture. With that much cornstarch, it set up a little too much!
