This is my favorite time of year! I absolutely love all the shared enthusiasm and love for the little lamb cake. I get so excited every year to see all the amazing cakes show up in my inbox. And there is always a special place in my heart for first-time lambs, or lambs from inherited pans. It makes me all tingling knowing that that little lamb might bloom into a family tradition!
But enough yammering on about me. It’s time to get to what we all came here for: The Lambs!
The first winner for this year is….
Tiffany E.! I loooove the decorating on this one!
The second winner for this year is….
Monica H.! Look at the blue face. Love it.
The third winner for this year is…
Cara R.’s sweet lambie!
And the final winner for this year is…
Kara B.’s happy lamb!
Whew! That was fun. The winners have one week to email their mailing information to ruth@midcenturymenu.com . If they do not contact me within a week, alternate winners will be chosen and notified.
Thank you so much to everyone who shared their lamb with me and tagged me on social media! It was another wonderful, lamb-filled Easter at my house! And here is the full gallery for 2019:
Great work by all! The cakes are all beautiful!
They all make me smile. Love them!
Wow! These submissions get better and better every year! Kudos to all the wonderful bakers and decorators! 🙂
I love every. single. one. Even though some are obviously dogs and a few are cats, and a scattering are definite nightmare material….some are just hilarious! Thanks for sharing the pictures, what a wonderful thing to spend a few minutes perusing.
Wonderful, each and every one! Even the dogs and cats and scary ones. Wonderful to see 😀
These make me happy 😀 People are so creative!!
Wonderful! Congratulations to all the bakers and decorators. These give me inspiration for next year!
Excellent work on Ruth Lamb Ginsburg, but I confess to not getting the next reference with the basketball and the shoes?
SIMPLY WONDERFUL. I could never make lambs like that.
Every year we pick a lamby theme – this year was Inspiring Women. Thus RBG and Muffet McGraw, the Notre Dame Women’s basketball coach who was pretty vocal this year about women hiring women and the inequality of many women’s athletic departments.
