Notes
What we found interesting about this is that it contained Maraschino, which is something that we picked up over the holidays at the enormous liquor store in Tom’s hometown that has absolutely everything under the sun. We had some difficulty tracking this one down, so now we are pumped about finding drinks that use it!
“How is it?
“Eh, it’s okay. Not great.”
The Verdict: Okay
This tasted pretty average. A good, standard daiquiri, but not something we were totally crazy about. The Maraschino added a nice, fruity taste that was enjoyable, but overall pretty meh. However, on the next page of this booklet there were several suggestions for additions to this drink to amp it up, such as strawberries, pineapple, bananas, mint and so on. We choose banana because we had it on hand, and that REALLY improved the flavor. We will be making these again! The Maraschino makes the added fruit flavors more fruity, which was really interesting!
Man, my absolute favorite drink of all time, pink lemonade Daquiri! Got introduced to them in college many eons ago at a supper club. I was underage (shhhh), with an older date, and you still had to bring a bottle of liquor because by-the-drink was illegal in Oklahoma at the time. (Very dry state that long ago!) Just sweet enough for me and thliquor was nicely hidden by the lemonade.
