Who is in the mood for some turquoise sandwiches?
This lovely loaf was made by reader Genevieve for a recent party. She was kind enough to share the pictures so I could bask in this loaf’s perfection. Since I have a soft spot for a good party loaf, I thought I would share them with you all as well.
Love it, Genevieve. Thanks for sharing. And if you want to check out more fun pictures from Genevieve’s party, you can check out her Facebook album here!
Way back in the 60’s I had a teen-party cookbook with this sandwich loaf in it, and it was SO pretty. I would absolutely have a nice piece of this, I never got why everyone goes ‘ew ew ew’….The only thing I’m wondering about it, why is that loaf shaped round on one end, like a little tombstone?
I love sandwich loaf! I miss the days it was so every wedding and baby shower!
Thank you Ruth for sharing my recipe 🙂
just stumbled upon your site and omg! hilarious! I remember my harried Mom making almost every dinner with cream of anything soup- chicken with cream of anything, ham with cream of anything- well, you get the idea. I also just now realize why I hate jello so much! Can’t wait to see what’s coming next-hopefully not another banana!
I love the party loaf. Chicken, tuna, egg. We had this for my daughter’s baby shower and a lemon jello, chicken, mayo salad. So good.
I would love these recipes if you have them Vicky they sound awesome!
If I made this, it would be all cheese-pecan filling only.
